During my recent journey into Isis/Sirius and the rest, there is one theme which I have neglected and that is the importance of Water to 2012 . I noted that Isis was the Goddess of all the elements – Earth, Wind, Fire and Water but water especially seems to be playing its part . The drowning of Whitney Houston, the death of Davy Jones, Costa Concordia and the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic show an underlying theme for the year . Even at a local level, here in Britain we have a Drought order in most of the country due to lack of water .
In the recent posts, I have touched on the Dogon who appear to have intimate knowledge about Sirius and have legends about a fish like race called the Nommo . From Wikipedia :
The Nommo are ancestral spirits (sometimes referred to as deities) worshipped by the Dogon tribe of Mali. The word Nommos is derived from a Dogon word meaning, “to make one drink,” The Nommos are usually described as amphibious, hermaphroditic, fish-like creatures. Folk art depictions of the Nommos show creatures with humanoid upper torsos, legs/feet, and a fish-like lower torso and tail. The Nommos are also referred to as “Masters of the Water”, “the Monitors”, and “the Teachers”.
In the book, The Sirius Mystery , Robert Temple put forward the theory that this fish race must have been extra terrestrial beings who had visited Earth in the ancient past and were probably from Sirius .
For some reason, they remind me of the “Aquaphibians” from the 1960s TV programme, Stingray .
But the Nommo are not the only reference to an ancient race of Merfolk . Another half man, half fish character Oannes was referenced in the 3rd century BC by a Babylonian writer, Berossus who instructed humanity in writing, the arts and science .
“A man, or rather a monster, Half man and half fish, coming from the sea, appeared near Babylon; he had two heads; one, which was the highest, resembled that of man, the other that of a fish. He had the feet of a man, and the tail of a fish; and his speech and voice resembled that of a man: a representation of him is still preserved. This monster dwelt by day with men, but took no food; he gave them knowledge of letters, arts, and sciences; he taught them to build towers and temples; and to establish laws; he instructed them in the principles of geometry; taught them to sow, and to gather the fruits of the earth; in short, whatever could contribute to polish and civilize their manners. At sun set he retired to the sea, in which he passed the night. There appeared likewise others of the same species.”
All very interesting but what has it got to do with now . In 1982, the book “The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail” investigated claims by a group named Prieure de Sion that they were the descendants of an ancient bloodline, The Merovingians who intended to reclaim their rightful legacy and would rule once again in Europe . It was also alleged the Merovingians were descendants of Jesus and Mary Magadalene . (Whenever I see Jesus now I think of Horus and Isis, so I read it as the ancestors of Isis) . The Da Vinci Code borrows a lot from the book and the Merovingians entered the public consciousness .
The originator of the Merovingians is King Merovee (the same name as this blog-I don’t like to think about it) . From “The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail” :
“When already preganant by her husband, King Clodio, Merovee’s mother supposedly went swimming in the ocean . In the water she is said to have been seduced and/or raped by an unidentified marine creature from beyond the sea – ‘a beast of Neptune similar to a Quinotaur’ whatever a Quinotaur may have been . This creature apparently impregnated the lady a second time . And when Merovee was born there allegedly flowed in his veins a commingling of two different bloods – the blood of a Frankish ruler and of a mysterious aquatic connection .”
Probably most people will be familiar with the theory that the elite eg Kings, Queens and Presidents, are descendants of the Merovingian bloodline . The elite do seem to have a liking for interbreeding from the ancient Pharaohs to today, when you find Presidents of America and the Royal Family in Britain are distantly related . Whether this is on purpose or some unconscious attraction I don’t know but geneaology is a fascination for the elite . Maybe they just want to feel special or is there something more ?
Reading the legends, and seeing the obsession with Sirius in the mystery schools it does raise the question, is the bloodline Sirian i.e. from Sirius . Isis is often depicted as a mermaid . Sirius is associated with water and Mer means the sea . Are the ancient legends a history of this bloodline from elsewhere in the galaxy ? However, if this was true why doesn’t the Queen have a tail for legs ?
DNA seems to be popping up in my posts recently with The Gene of Isis and MDNA, and the implication of the Merovee story is that the Nommo, or whatever your term for Merfolk, somehow genetically combined with the human race and removed their fishiness ! This leads onto the Annunaki and Lulu etc, which is for another post .
According to astrologers, we are entering, have entered or will enter The Age of Aquarius . The symbol used for Aquarius is the Water Carrier but I am struck by the similarity of the Tarot Card, The Star, to this symbol . Many students of the Tarot believe The Star is a reference to Sirius . The ‘Age of Aquarius’ or ‘The Age of Sirius’ and is the woman another representation of Isis . As well, why there are two pitchers ?
By asking questions, I hope that the answers will eventually reveal themselves . I’m sure some readers will wonder what’s the fuss but I am convinced that Sirius is at the heart of 2012 and the agenda of the elite is connected to Sirius . And the idea of Prince Charles as a Merman somehow seems appropriate .
A little while ago, Miranda e-mailed me and suggested I should have a look at Mermaids etc . One of her suggestions was that MERlin maybe a fruitful path to go down and if I get the inspiration I will probably do so . I think the Lady of the Lake may be another Isis reference and Merlin suggests a watery origin . Any suggestions greatfully received .
Postscript : It seems the writers of Doctor Who may have got the idea for one of the Doctor’s enemies, The Silurians from Sirius . I would say the name is a combination of Sirians and Lulu .
The star represents Sirius and the two pitchers represent Sirius B & C?

I think the two pitchers are connected with the mirror/twin theme . It maybe the different stars of Sirius or a more metaphysical reason .
Don’t forget that in Christian lore whatever you wanna call it, water represents ‘new birth’ baptism, and all that…. but ofc it is connected esoterically to the old pagan myths and practices…

Hi Carys- yes, she did have something in a hippie-chick way . That does sound like a Sirius connection . In a way, I’m glad she stopped when she did, so we don’t have the horrible sight of a middle aged Kate Bush attempting to be a 20yr old but I think she was too sensible for that .

Hmm..somewhere early this year I thought that maybe something would happen this year. So I checked it out ‘astrologically’ and found that there is a Uranus square Pluto this year…around summer. I’m not yet sure if these things have a time limit, like how many days they last, you know? Anyway, the Olympics are this year, right?
So, yeah, I thought it was interesting: When Uranus is involved things happen unexpectedly. With Uranus in Aries, the unexpected comes quickly and when you combine this energy in hard aspect to Pluto which rules death and devastation, I’d say that war is almost a given as are natural disasters. As to where and when these things will take place – with Uranus involved, there is no telling.
And Water IS playing a part! I never realized… which reminds me of an episode of this show where the character says something like this:”You do see, you just don’t observe!”

This summer, especially the London Olympics and Mars Curiosity landing in August, stands out for me . I would be very surprised if we get through 2012 without something dramatic happening .
Regarding Uranus, who is the Greek Ourannos, which sounds very close to Oannes. Uranus entered Pisces in the sky in early to mid 2009 and will be there until 2018. It’s a slow mover so changing signs is a big deal. Oh, and Uranus’ moons are named after characters in the Tempest, the closest-orbiting moon being Miranda
Yes, speaking of Uranus, which planet is associated with Aquarius btw, I have an astrologer friend who gets really deep into all this, so I learned some from her.. but I remember her saying that lightning is related to the way Uranus works, that the changes it brings are that quick and unexpected, like lightning…. whenever you see Uranus or Aquarius in a chart or the skies, you can be sure to expect something unexpected and also far reaching changes of some sort….
Furthermore in the storm motif, you could say Neptune (Pisces – ‘Fish’ symbol – two fishes swimming in opposite directions actually _ the ‘double mirror’ motif?! Could supply the water of the storm in this case, and Uranus the lightning… Pluto, which ever remains mysterious and has been downgraded to a mere meteor, but those of us in the astrological realm would never have that… well even if not ‘seen’ in all this, is still always there, and could be considered the ‘dark horse’ and the mysterious element we do not see at work…

I was reading The Portable Jung this morning, and started his chapter “On Synchronicity”. He begins:
“On April 1, 1949, I made a note in the morning of an inscription containing a figure that was half man and half fish. There was fish for lunch. Somebody mentioned the custom of making an “April fish” of someone. In the afternoon, a former patient of mine, whom I had not seen for months, showed me some impressive pictures of fish. In the evening, I was shown a piece of embroidery with sea monsters and fishes in it…..”
He goes on about more mermaid/fish imagery, but I won’t belabor the point!
I’ll have to bow to everyone else’s knowledge about astrology . I’m afraid I have no expertise in this area but I am interested in the Miranda/Tempest link .

The BBC have been pushing Merlin Diamond on the television here in Britain . Closer to the time, I’ll have a good look at the Tempest but my initial thoughts are tied up with the Merlin/Prospero/Gandalf type of character . I was actually thinking about Merlin and King Arthur earlier on today along the lines (pun intended) of the Line of Mer (sea) .
I suspect she may be another reference to Isis/Sirius but I will have to do some research and see if it all fits together .
There’s also a diamond known as the Sirius Star Diamond which claims to be the brightest diamond in the world . And for some reason I am reminded of “Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky” .

I found this out through my astronomy program – it’s quite easy to use if you’re so inclined. http://sourceforge.net/projects/stellarium/ I took a look at the sky over London during the opening ceremony and the moon is very prominent. Of course, it passes this point every 28 days, but they sure do have it timed perfectly…

I know this is an older post, but still always valid, I had it in my (‘to read later’ and comment later’) archives. But anyway, that first part where you mentioned the origins of the word ‘Nommos’ (“to make one drink,”) is interesting as far as the ‘New Aeon’ of Aquarius, in astrological symbology, the ‘symbol for that sign is a woman pouring a vial of water out of her hand… and I know you mentioned that in your post, but I also thought of that before I read that part. And along the lines of ‘fire’ the being(s) who gave knowledge to humans, has been likened to Prometheus, the ‘God who gave the humans fire, but fire has been linked to knowledge…. which you may have already written about anyway after this post… but that is a connection there… b/c with ‘fire’ kindling in the intellect and mind, one can do almost anything… also, the half fish half human reminds me also of Neptune or the Greek Name Poseidon. The fish symbol also reminds me of the old symbol for Christ, which is not quite a fish, but looks like one. What is that symbol called again? Anyway, any time water is involved, it represents ‘birth’ and ‘mother’ as you may well know. Also, comes to mind is one of C.S. Lewis’ works, Perelandra, part of a Venus/Mars series of books, very interesting reads, haven’t read them all, but what I did read endlessly inspired me…. especially that one there that I just mentioned… but anyway, either in that or one of his works, there are mermaid like creatures that I believe tend to the newly minted spiritual creatures that arrive on that planet/dimension. They represent sort of the nursemaids of ‘spiritual babies.’ So, there is more fodder for our thoughts….
